I made this exactly as written, but instead used Splenda products for the sugars listed. Enjoyed it. The cooked sweetened mixture was much like making a lemon pie. I squeezed one-half of a lemon's juice over the rhubarb before putting the topping on. It is a reliable recipe.

Tasted stupendous, But i recommend making more crumble so information technology is more crunchy and not just goo. Hither is how i cut information technology in halves :D 1/2C flour iii/eight oats three/viii brown sugar OR 1/ii carbohydrate if you didn't cutting 1/4C melted butter i/2 teaspoon cinnamon

This was simple and then tasty! I had half the rhubarb needed, and so I used one-half strawberries and added a squeeze on lemon for zing. I did 75% the brown and while sugar and it was plenty sweet. I as well doubled the crumb topping /chaff. The proportions with the doubled crumbles were so skilful, but pretty hearty. I may try to make the standard recipe for a lighter dessert.

Don't repeat. Too heavy w streusel on bottom and height. Corn starch makes fruit too gummy. Endeavor Emily Luchetti's crisp from her cookbook, Stars Desserts...first-class, light and fruit flavors polish through.

I adjusted the ingrediants down to 4 servings. I did not take enough rhubarb, so I did 2/iii strawberries, i/3 rhubarb. I placed the sugar, fruit mixture into 4 custard cups, then topped with the crumble mixture. It turned out good. I plan to brand again. I remember I volition cut back a bit on the white sugar side by side fourth dimension.

Considering we take an older blazon of rhubarb that is very sour this recipe works perfectly for information technology. I had some problem with my first batch of cornstarch syrup non thickening--I must have done something wrong considering I made a second batch and it thickened but fine. Added a pint of canned sour cherries considering I adopt more filling but otherwise made it as described. Very practiced!

This was my first time cooking with rhubarb. I wasn't certain how many stalks to equal the correct amount so I concluded up having to cutting the recipe in half. It was 1 of the best desserts I've ever tasted! I volition try the full recipe very soon. I bought 9 stalks of rhubarb this time instead of four.

My 12 year-old kid made this all by their self. They used 3/4 cup of white sugar, instead of 1 cup. We all loved it!

I added a little salt to the topping and used 1/2 strawberries, since I didn't accept plenty rhubarb. Anybody loved it!

I used frozen fresh rhubarb, utilizing the juice strained off as the water. I also made 1/two again equally much "crust" equally we like more available to sprinkle on top ??

Don't recommend this recipe. Mixture super sticky hard to piece of work with. Cooked sugar mixture more than v minutes never thickened or got clear.

It's skilful, but I had to make some changes for our dietary restriction--gluten free. I substituted a gf granola for the oats. Also, I used orangish juice instead of water (information technology helps sort of neutralize the rhubarb). I might make it with a scrap less sugar next time. Simply it was really proficient!

I dearest all things rhubarb and this was pretty tasty. My main complaint is that there wasn't enough "crisp" on it. I even doubled the crisp when I fabricated information technology and still felt like it needed more than. I prepared it at home and cooked it at my mom's house while we were BBQing. Once it came out of the oven we topped information technology off with some vanilla bean ice foam. YUM-O

Turned out great, I used 3/4 cup of sugar,and 3/iv cup of water but added the juice of half a lemon to my water before mixing. Was perfectly balanced and I ate more than than I should accept. Groovy, like shooting fish in a barrel recipe, will definitely make again.

I of the best rhubarb crisp recipes! Sugariness (but not too sweet), and the well-baked is really crispy and non gooey! Love information technology, and it will become my 'get to' recipe again!!

Could not get it out of the pan. The syrup that you coat over the crumbs just all stuck together. Will not make information technology again. So disappointed.
